BABY NAME INSPIRATION!!

We have some of the most beautiful babies and children coming into Cafe Junior, and whenever one of our friends is expecting they ask us what fabulous baby names we have heard....we thought we'd cut out the middle-man and give you the opportunity to post your child's name as inspiration for other parents - feel free to give us a description of meaning and how you came to choose it. (please note no entries will be posted that contain any criticisms of other names

Sarah: Seren is the name of our baby girl - it's Welsh for Star and we think she is!

Jo: Reuben or Oliver (Ollie) for 'bump' Can't decide as I love them both

Ali: I love the names of old...timeless classics. My children are named William, Eliza and Henry (Harry).

Zoe (from Cafe Junior): You've probably seen my boys running around Cafe Junior - they are Anderson and Isaac. Anderson is a Scottish family name of mine, and also means 'son of Ann or son of Andrew'. My Auntie Ann passed away when I was 7 months pregnant so the name took on new meaning for me. Isaac was always my favourite boys name for years and I just loved the way it looks when written down!

Suzanne: My little boy is differant he has a mohican as his hair grew that way making him look so cute ... We wanted to name him differant but not to out of the ordinary, my husband trains in a gym and martial art thai boxing etc is a strong enjoyment, I watched the american program ''move that bus'' where famillys help unpriveledged famillys out of nothing to a beautifull home. They would say Ty move that bus , the bus would move to relieve the home.. I loved them hearing the people calling his name he made so many people happy, we called him Thai and spelt it the strong way as Thai boxing Thailand... suits him just right.

Lucy: Jack was named after my grandfather - he was more of a father figure when I was growing up as my parents split up when I was a baby. I always wanted to name my son after him. Samuel was going to be Harry but my sister had a Henry 2 months before me so we had a re-think. My husband thought we had settled on Alfie until he popped out and I declared him to be "Samuel" (to a very confused husband!).

Rox: My daughter is called Eleanor. She was supposed to be Abigail up until the week before I was due then I saw a comedienne called Eleanor Tiernan and decided that was a far more fitting name for what was sure to be a cheeky little monkey. It suits her perfectly.

Michelle: Our little girl is called Aimee - meaning 'Loved One' which sums her up perfectly!

Jessie: Benjamin and Tilly-Rose are our angels.

Susannah: Our Daughter's name is MOLLY-ELLEN , Molly after her great grandmother & Ellen after my mum.Two AMAZING women our little princess is another one in the making .

Nic: Our little boy is called Gethin. There is no family connection it was just a name that both my husband and I instantly loved! He is our little star!

Mich: Our children are called Tobias (Toby/Tobes) which means God is good. As our first born we wanted a traditional name that spanned our two cultures/religions and Tobias has proved to do both. Our daughter is called Emilia (Mili) which means to strive. The shortened version is the spelling used for Mili in his country also. Her had to pass 'the brain surgeon test' which my friend and I use to mean could you see a surgeon or similar with the name ;oD I love traditional names that have a range of shortenings ideally for different phases in their lives as opposed to them being stuck with what we think is a cool name that they may loathe. With Tobias and Emilia they have good names as adults with cute children's names and funky teenage alternatives in between!

Mike: We have 3 boys, their names are Barnaby, William and Maxen.

Nia: My daughter is named Alba, I came across the name when I was pregnant and reading The Time Travellers Wife, Alba is the daughter in the book and also a time traveller! Ive since been told that it is latin for white and spanish for dawn, all lovely translations.

Adele: Sapphire - As sapphire has gorgous blue eyes

Claire: My little one is Lily-Bea - I wanted my grandmothers name in there somewhere and her middle name was Beatrice so we took the Bea x

Ceri: Caitlyn -Is gaelic and means pure beauty.

Geraldine: Maia - my maiden name was Mayer so my granddaughter was given her beautiful name as a loving token which keeps my late Dad's name alive. She is loved so very much by us all.

Viven: I am a gran waiting for a new baby arrival. My daughter Emma is hoping for a boy as she already has 2 girls Amber and Jasmine but of course there's no way of telling at the moment as she is ony 3 months. I think she will name him William but if it is a girl, I hope she will call her Keturah after my Grandmother.

Kath: My beautiful ones are called Holly, Noah and Sophia. X

Claire: My daughters name is LOLA HONEY.. My son JOE was 4 when his sister was born and he helped me to choose her name, suits her perfectly...

Leigh: My son is Joseph Xavier, Joseph is after my Dad and I love Xavier it's unusual without being made up! Michael John was to follow traditional family name and my daughter Sarah came along after. Sarah means 'princess' and she's certainly ours.

Hayley: We named our son James-Michael and our daughter Lily-Madeleine. Our children are named after people in our families and in our hearts. I look forward to the day when they ask why we gave them those names as it will create the perfect opportunity to tell them about our loved ones who we've  lost whos names live on, thanks to them!
